Connacht Health and Safety Training Institute is the brainchild of mother and daughter team, Linda Brennan and Aoife Boyle. They are both directors of the company.
They were inspired to set up CHSI following on from their involvement in emergency service training as part of their volunteer work for both their local First Responders group and with the Civil Defence force based in Galway.
The mission statement for CHSI is to provide a first class training institute for all types of emergency services. Linda and Aoife are passionate about providing top quality emergency and first aid training and empowering their students to have the skills and confidence to deal with any situation that may arise. CHSI instructors include, Advanced Paramedics, Paramedics, EMT’s.
Linda and Aoife have spent many years training and enhancing their own skill set within the emergency service sector. Their many achievements include the following:
Fully qualified PHECC NQEMT practitioners
Mental Health First Aid Instructors
Fully qualified Mini Medic Instructors
Children First programme in conjunction with TUSLA
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Assistant Co-ordinator and Training Officer for local First Responders groups
CHSI is also the first company in Ireland to introduce the Mini Medics course. This is an exciting, child friendly introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 6-12.
